Priorities

One of the truisms i like to trot out when someone makes the claim that we simply can't fund (insert popular, worthwhile social program here) is that, well, of course we can. The US is a nearly unfathomably rich country. We haven't got a resource problem, we have a resource allocation problem. In that vein, read this excellent American Prospect article on what we were promised the war would cost, what we're actually paying for it, and what we could have had instead.
